We are going to replace the pipes; we have a toilet on the upper floor and a bathroom in the basement with cast iron pipes from the basement to the upper floor. Breaking up the floor will be necessary. We have been given a price of 330,000 SEK. Is it reasonable? Thank you kindly if any kind soul knows something about this.

Sounds dreadful, the material isn't huge sums so it leaves hourly billing for 2 men for 5 weeks roughly calculated.
Bring in more bids?

Does that include a new bathroom and toilet?

Is it just replacing pipes? Or does it include new bathrooms, digging out the entire basement with underfloor heating? What is included in the quote?

I know a neighbor had their house relined, which cost just under 200,000.

I myself have dug out and excavated the basement, insulated 300mm, new pipes, new electrical, water-based underfloor heating. I did a lot of the work myself, but got help with things like casting and some underfloor heating installation. It ended up costing about 150,000. The reinforcement, casting, and underfloor heating cost 90,000.

Sorry need to be more specific, thank you so much for all the responses. Re-routing of water to the property boundary, embedding of water pipes and radiator pipes in the bathroom wall, chiseling, demolition, replacement of sewage pipes under the intermediate cast?! concrete floor or whatever it's called, insulation for underfloor heating in the basement bathroom. Pipe replacement of vertical pipes to the kitchen and separate sewage pipes to the upper floor.

I myself have dug out and excavated the basement, insulated 300mm, new pipes, new electricity, water-borne underfloor heating. Did a lot of work myself, but got help with things like casting and some underfloor heating installation. It ended up costing about 150k. The reinforcement, casting, and UFH cost 90k.
Wow, was that after ROT?

Yes, tiling of the bathroom, not the toilet.

Get more quotes?
Yes, we will get more quotes.

He is retired, so a bit uncertain about ROT, depending on how much they can deduct. But even if they become slightly cheaper with ROT, 300 thousand doesn't seem unreasonable for what you're describing.
Is the house drained? Otherwise, it's a good measure to consider.
But get at least three quotes, preferably five, to see what things cost. In which part of the country is this to be done?
Have you considered re-casting the entire basement? Since you're already hacking everywhere. So that it becomes insulated and underfloor heating everywhere?

After clarification of what work is included, it feels like a fully reasonable offer, even though it is certainly possible to get cheaper (and more expensive).

No, the basement was redone in 2009 :) Drainage we’ll wait with, it's good so far. But good tip.
