Base panel 21x120 costs 9.95 SEK/m at Byggmax in Vellinge and 12.45 SEK/m at Byggmax in Trelleborg. So 25% more expensive in Trelleborg. These stores are located about 15 km apart.
Can anyone come up with a reasonable explanation for this enormous price difference?
There are more examples of price differences than just the base panel.
I have probably been naive in believing that Byggmax maintains roughly the same prices, at least in two stores that are so close to each other.

12.45 in Falun as well. Is it Vellinge that has come across a batch of cheap base panel, you think?

Byggmax in Vellinge is expanding - maybe that's why?

If you do not choose a store on byggmax.se, it says 9.95

I have also noted that the prices at the relatively newly opened byggmax in Trelleborg are ~25% above the regular price and I've been wondering about it.

Byggmax is one of the companies that have different prices depending on where the store itself is located, so if you live somewhere with long transport distances, it will be more expensive.

I would guess that it is some sort of zone division.

Ystad also seems to be in a more expensive zone.

Have you possibly looked at the price without VAT? Since there is a 25% difference.

The response from Byggmax was that prices can vary depending on the distance to competitors. So because Byggmax in Trelleborg is located right next to Optimera, it's still "a little" cheap, or so they seem to reason...

No, both with VAT

No long transport distances between these two stores. 1.5 miles, mostly highway. Takes maybe 15 minutes to drive.

Don't they consider Jem and Fix as competitors? Or Woody for that matter.

Jem o Fix doesn't seem to have the base panel so that might be why Byggmax Trelleborg can have a higher price. I don't know about Woody. Optimera has it but calls it a z-panel. Slightly more expensive than Byggmax Trelleborg but also 2mm thicker.

Does anyone know if this still applies?

That the prices in Trelleborg are higher than Vellinge?
70mm rule is the same price, and standard decking is 50öre more expensive in Trelleborg.
