Mount Ikea washbasin to drywall
I have a new washbasin I need to attach to a drywall. It has 2 legs but I assume some weight will be supported by the wall. It weighs about 55kg.
I haven't checked yet if there is a stud in any of the four points.
1) If there is a stud, what should I use for screws (wood screws?)?
2) If there is no stud (drywall) what should I use (drywall anchors?)?
The Ikea manual doesn't say anything about the length or thickness of the screws.
I would be very grateful if I could get help with the choice of screws for both stud and drywall.
P.S. If it turns out that all four attachment points have no stud, is it still possible to attach?
Thank you very much

It's the front legs that carry almost the entire load.
Double-sided tape against the wall might have been enough, but
Autodidak1's proposal is clearly the best
Choose the length of the molly anchor based on whether there is single or double gypsum in the wall!

That gives me the length. How do I choose the thickness of the screw?
SSSS never heard of toggler before. Is it as good as molly?

I would choose the thickest one available, e.g., this oneJ janerik12 said:

Then the screw is M6, and you need to drill 13 mm.
But NOTE, you also need a simple tool to expand the Molly on the backside of the gypsum.
Is this a waiting room? To be completely correct, Molly is not okay in this case; you have to attach to a solid construction. The reason is that it is hopeless to seal with silicone when you don't have a backing.
Yes, an M6 should hold for 120kg in single drywall, see the datasheet:J janerik12 said:

It's unlikely that anyone would shower inside the cabinet even if it were in wet zone 1. So even if you might not manage to seal with silicone 100%, it probably won't be a problem for the next 100 years.tommib said:
But by first filling the hole, tightening the expander, removing the screw and filling with silicone again, and then mounting the cabinet, you have a good chance to make it completely waterproof in case someone wants to shower in the bathroom cabinet
