Which mortar should I use to grout a wall made of blasted stone?
There aren't any major forces on the wall, and I have the drainage under control. I'm just wondering which type of mortar is best for pointing a blasted stone (granite) wall.
This one, for example, cement mix? https://www.bauhaus.se/probau-slipsats-snabb
"must not be used in statically load-bearing structures," which is the definition of a wall, so it's probably not suitable.
Hi! I've just finished constructing such a wall and did the grouting with Cementbruk A from Bauhaus. It turned out really well and feels very stable after that. It took 12 bags for this approximately 5-meter-long wall.
I'm testing Cementbruk A or alternatively Murbruk M2,5, possibly holds up better against frost. I guess it's important to have completely sealed joints to avoid frost damage?
As a beginner, you learned a few things. Among other things, you should take the calculated number of bags of mortar and multiply it by x2. Here is the result.
