Moved a wall in the garage and need to fill approximately 3 square meters with about 45mm height. It will be an ordinary mancave, no heavy loads. What should I do? I will be laying tiles on the floor afterwards.

If you are going to lay tiles, then just prime, lay reinforcement mesh, and use self-leveling compound.

Yes, leveling the entire surface is an option; approximately 12 bags of 20kg each will be needed. The other option would be to lay a couple of bags of Eps-cement and then level on top of that, if you want to save on the number of bags.

Have to calculate the cost then :-)
how thick must the floating layer at least be on top of any eps?
Should I drill into the slab next to it so I can also insert the reinforcement into it?
Here's what it looks like
Concrete slab with a visible groove and scattered debris on the surface, possibly related to a construction project or renovation inquiry.

EPS is probably cheaper and insulates as well. I think it is 20 mm minimum float but I'm not sure.

Ok. Should I put reinforcement in the eps?

No, I don't think so. Not such a thin layer. However, in the flow, there should be a steel mesh. That's how it's done at my place, anyway.

Wouldn't it be easier and cheaper with concrete in this case, you don't have much use for self-leveling compound here.

Long drying time before he can lay tiles on concrete.

Also thought about the drying time for concrete but unsure exactly how long it takes. Anyone know?
And if I lay EPS first, does it need to be completely cured before I proceed with the screed? (how long does it take?)

Fill with ROT bruk. Can be covered after 24 h.

When we cast EPS, about 10 cm, it only took a day or so before we could float on it. It might have been something quick-drying, but I'm not sure.

Buy slip kit fast. Easy and quick to work with

Think ardex a31mix might be something

For 0-5mm and costs 350:- for 12.5kg?
Sure there are better alternatives
