We have sanded our walls down to bare concrete in what will become the bathroom. The plan is to even it out with husfix and then tile (horizontal 20x30 tiles). The question is, how even does the surface need to be, how forgiving is the fix?
As even as possible. It's not fun at all to tile on uneven surfaces, and the end result is never really good no matter how much you tweak and fix to smooth out with adhesive.
When I tile, I try to get the surface as flat as if I were wallpapering.
