Hello!
I would like to make a small opening, like a serving hatch, in a load-bearing wall between the kitchen and living room.
It's in an apartment on the 2nd floor of 3. The house was built in 1943, so I suspect concrete or brick wall? How wide do you think an opening could be without needing to reinforce the opening? Or does anyone know where to read up on this?
Note, I plan to consult an engineer if this is to be carried out, but I just wanted to get a sense of it myself first.
