Difference in lumber? Where to order from?

I'm going to order lumber for our deck construction, but I'm a bit worried about receiving warped wood. If you go to Byggmax, for example, and look at their pressure-treated wood, it's both bent and "twisted."
Is it a quality issue? Can one expect to receive good lumber either from Byggmax or another supplier? Do you get what you pay for?
Thanks in advance!

All pressure-treated wood is quality-marked in some way. For decking boards, sorting rules apply. Do not purchase wood of lower sorting than G4-2. For heavier beams, strength classification applies. Class C 24 usually guarantees the level. Then there is the NTR marking to keep track of. NTR-A is for wood that has or can have ground contact. NTR-AB is for other wood. Byggmax does not have worse wood of equivalent class than anyone else, but often sticks to the lower classes. I would normally not shop from Byggmax because they do not market the best wood. In Västerbotten, however, the conditions might be different.

Thanks for the response!
You do get a bit nervous that half of the timber will be crooked when ordering home and not being able to select it yourself. But it's so picked over all the time, so we have no choice but to order.

Do yourself and possibly your children a favor and avoid Byggmax decking. It's not particularly fun, really. Spend a few extra bucks and buy sorted decking from places like XL bygg or Beijer. I bought it myself for 20 SEK/m at XL bygg 7 years ago, I think it was called "prima" then. Still super nice. Few and small knots. No splinters.
Example calculation: 50 sqm patio, decking 28*120. About 7 linear meters per square meter.
50*7=350 meters. Extra cost about 3500 SEK.
The saying "you quickly forget that it was expensive, but you are often reminded that it was cheap" fits very well here.

Good input! We were considering Byggmax because we haven't found a convenient way to order online elsewhere. XL bygg is even cheaper on some parts, but you can only select self-pickup lists on their website.S StevieGee said:Do yourself and possibly your children a favor and avoid Byggmax decking. Will check out Beijer once more!

In the interest of fairness, I want to point out that Byggmax decking is also sorted, usually in a lower sorting class, but this is often not disclosed. It’s usually beneficial to request a price from Beijers. Do not buy a lower grade than G4-2 (G4-1 is better and G4-3 is worse.)
Isn't it the case that if you order home delivery from byggmax (perhaps applies to all retailers...?) you can complain about any potentially bad, bent, twisted lumber? It doesn't change the grade, but hopefully you avoid the bad pieces.

If avoiding corkscrews is the main thing, you should just go and sort it out yourself or hire someone to do it for you.
I don't agree that a phone order would increase the risk of a wrong order.

We simply have different experiences thenA ArneTW said:
No, we don't want to go ourselves but prefer to order for delivery. We're going to build a 100 sqm deck, and I don't feel like fetching that much timber myself.
