Hello
I need some advice; I have a townhouse from '78 with concrete flooring (the elements lie across). There is a basement. The house is 5 meters wide and seen from the left: 3-pane window, patio door, and a window to the right of the door.

Living room with three-section window and a glass door leading to a garden. Indoor plants on the window sill and a sofa chair in front. Floor plan diagram of a 1978 townhouse living room, showing wall measurements and a central doorway, labeled "VARDAGSRUM.

We would like to install a glass double door to bring in more light and also make the windows 20 cm larger (taller). The next step is to build a deck outside, and with a double door, we would "merge" the living room and patio/terrace more into one unit...

Living room with window and patio door layout. Three windows and a door leading to garden area. Indoor plants and furniture visible.

What I need advice on is the load-bearing capacity of the wall; I have some drawings, but nothing about the construction of this wall - there is information on everything from concrete elements, floors to roof trusses... It looks like there is a post on each side of the door - is it possible to move these? Do they need to be upgraded in size since the door opening will be larger? The door is 80 cm wide, and we are considering a 140 or 150 cm double door. How large should the beam/stud be above the door to support the extra load that a wider door will bring?
