Price comparison on building materials in Sten
Page 1 of 2
I thought it might be good to try to compile price information on building materials (stone, concrete, etc.) in a separate thread. Please add to it so we can make it as complete as possible.
Price comparison for different stone building materials:
Ytong (Yxhult): approx. 470kr/m2
H+HCelcon: Celblock 300 mm approx. 340kr/m2
Celblock 365 mm approx. 410kr/m2.
25 kg glue: 70kr
plaster, internal and external, beams not included
Hebel (German Ytong): ?
Ytong (Poland): Ytong stone 60X20X36.5 cm price in Poland approx. 213 kr/m2. Transport cost to Sweden, approx. 10000 kr for a 42-ton truck (Joen)
Optiroc Leca Isoler: 593kr/m2 Price does not include transport, glue/cement, possible reinforcement, insulation, mesh, or plaster.
Light expanded clay aggregate concrete prefab. solid wall (Leca): ?
Palikka: Casting mold: approx. 400kr/m2
Concrete 174 kr/m2
Reinforcement 51 kr/m2
Plaster 550 kr/m2
Gypsum 25 kr/m2
Dorocell Casting mold: approx. 250kr/m2, otherwise the same principle as Palikka.
Pre-fab concrete elements (incl. plaster): approx. 1040kr/m2 (Sweli)

Hello!
Here's some information from Beijer regarding insulated LECA:
--- clip from email ---
We only work with Optiroc from the suppliers you mentioned.
Their insulated block is called Isoblock and there is one model:
ISOBLOCK 35X19X59 CM, STRAIGHT
8.4 PCS/M2 36 PCS/PALLET
According to my calculations, you need about 55-60 pallets. Then some may be deducted for windows, etc.
The price is 56.50 SEK/each + VAT = 70.63 SEK/each including VAT.
The price is ex-works, meaning shipping is additional. It's difficult to give you a shipping price until we know the number of pallets, delivery time, delivery address, etc.
--- clip ---
So:
Optiroc Leca Insulated from Beijer: ~593 SEK/m2 incl. VAT
This does not include shipping, glue/cement, possible reinforcement, insulation, netting, or plaster. Please also note that this probably does not include possible bulk discounts.
Best regards, Stefan
PS BoByggaren, please add this to your table above to make it easier for people to read in the future. Can you also put all different "brands" in bold while you're editing the list? DS

Hello again!
It seems like Yxhult with their Ytong is about 10% more expensive than H+HCelcon in terms of price.
Quick facts about aerated concrete:
* Yxhult manufactures aerated concrete in the form of Ytong
* H+HCelcon manufactures aerated concrete in the form of Siporex
clipped from http://w1.921.telia.com/~u92107162/atillo.htm
This building material, invented in the 1920s, is produced either as unreinforced blocks for masonry or as reinforced building elements. The latter must not be cut as the reinforcement’s end anchorage would then be lost. The material is insulating, airtight (80% of the pores are closed), has low density, high fire resistance, and is load-bearing up to four stories.
Gasbetong. Autoclaved (high-pressure steam cured) aerated concrete. For example, Siporex (made from shale lime and cement) and Ytong (made from sand and cement). Blue concrete refers to gas concrete made from radon-containing material.
Lättballastbetong. Aerated concrete containing low-density aggregate, usually lightweight aggregate (also called leca) which consists of expanded burnt clay.

Hello BoByggaren!
In the other thread in Building Materials about "stone," it is mentioned that 36.5cm wide Ytong blocks from Poland cost approximately 213kr/m2 without discount. You might want to incorporate this instead of what's listed for 20cm wide blocks (20cm doesn't have a good U-value if you plan to plaster without extra insulation).
Regards, Stefan

Hello again!
BoByggaren: Where did you get the price of 410kr/m2 for H+Hcelcon Celblock 365mm? The prices I have seen are closer to 445kr/m2 including VAT ???
However, if you buy a larger batch of Ytong (brand Yxhult?) from Beijer, you pay about 470kr/m2.
Regards, Stefan
Hi Stefan,Stefan said:
I got the price information through email correspondence directly with H+H Celcon in Malmö.
They also refer to Beijer, I haven't checked with them what their price is.
BoByggaren!
Oh, wow! It was Beijer (in Stockholm) who gave me the price of ~470kr/m2 for 365mm wide ytong wall. However, I don't know if the Beijer guy I talked to gave me prices for Yxhult or H+HCelcon, but it shouldn't differ that much ???
Was your price including VAT?
Best regards, Stefan
