Planning to install new pipes for the radiator system.
In some places, we want to hide the pipes in the wall.
We have 120mm insulation in a 1.5-story house from the 70s and are thinking of cutting an opening in the plasterboard, laying in pipe within a pipe from the upper floor, and then closing up the opening. Then we will fill and paint the walls.
Do you open up to the nearest standing stud or splice the plasterboard anywhere? How if so?
Has anyone done something similar?

Grateful for tips and experiences

If you don't open to the rule, you almost have to insert a piece of wood behind to have something to attach the boards together with.

Exactly, can one place a piece of plywood behind and screw it together? Should work well?

Absolutely. You can put anything that you can screw into behind it, a piece of gypsum, plywood, or any scrap you have lying around.
