I will be installing a new interior door in a doorway that is 78cm wide and 205cm high and I'm a bit uncertain about these measurements and what applies.

Should I use 7x20 or 8x20 frames?

Answering a bit on my own question...
However, I haven't removed the old frame that's there now, but I hope there's enough space to fit an 8x21 or 8x20 according to Swedoor's list...

You need a door with a maximum frame outer dimension of 77cm. According to the list, an 8x21 door is 79cm so it won't work.

Let's hope they were generous with the width when setting up the studs... Otherwise, you'll have to reluctantly choose a 7x21 (or 20)...

There is a saw so you can saw off a cm on each side.

You can custom order a door. It's not a huge expense.

So, now the old frame is gone and between the studs it is 805mm. A bit tight, but it should be fine with 8?

I would rather not move the studs since it's a load-bearing wall.

It should go with 8 because 8 is meant to fit in a hole that is 800.

Typically it's 79*209cm to allow for adjustment. Your width is larger...

However, the height is a bit trickier.
