Hi,
I need some advice on how to finish a wall on both sides of a chimney breast. There is a stove there, so it just gets slightly warm near the stove.

1. The ceiling moulding, should I run it straight across to the next room's corner or have some sort of ending where the chimney begins on each side? If so, the finish on each side is critical.
The problem is that the right section of the wall is about 1.5cm shallower, so I need to build up the ceiling moulding in that section if that's the case.
2. Wall from ceiling moulding to floor moulding. Just a standard covering moulding/architrave?

Black tiled wall with a vent at the top center, adjacent to an unfinished wall section, under a white ceiling with a recessed light.

1. The crown molding, should I run it straight across to the next corner of the room or some type of finish where the chimney stack begins on each side? But then finishing is crucial on each side.
The problem is that the right side of the wall is about 1.5cm shallower, so I have to build up a crown molding piece if so.
2. Wall from crown molding to baseboard. Just a regular cover strip/molding?
