Hello,

I plan to set a couple of 95x95 posts over 2m tall in the ground that need to be as stable as possible.

The posts will be used as a base for a pull-up bar where 100kg+ will be hanging and swinging.

I would like the posts to stand as stable as possible, so the question is which option is best and how significant the difference is between, for example:

Ground screw / earth anchor
Concrete foundations
Casting the posts directly into the ground (if so, how deep)

I'm guessing that casting directly into the ground is the most stable, but are the other options viable for a 2.2m high pull-up bar, about 150cm wide, capable of carrying 100+ kg swinging?

Thanks!

Dig.

If you dig a deep hole and attach your pole to the bottom with a ground screw/piling/concrete, it will probably be quite stable whatever you use.

ps if you dig a couple of meters deep, you probably won't need anything at all then
