Hello

I am going to repaint our paneling and want to fix it up a bit at the same time.
I would like to get some tips on how to create a nicer finish against the door trim.
Wooden wainscoting meeting door trim, with a gap in a corner needing refinishing for smoother transition.

I would also like tips on how to deal with this corner, I think it looks quite ugly in its current state.
The trim is 95mm and the wall (yellow) is ~45mm + ~30mm, which creates a bit of a notch in the corner now.
Doorframe corner with red paneling and yellow wall edge, displaying uneven alignment. Seeks advice on improving visual finish near trim and corner.

Regards,
Christian

A simple way is to chamfer the corner by about 30° from the edge of the trim and equally out on the breast strip. Looks to be 6-7 mm. This will create a smoother transition.
