Hello,
I'm about to start building a garage and after much consideration, I've decided it will be built with masonry. The question is: Leca or aerated concrete (e.g., Celcon)?

Leca is cheaper than aerated concrete, and since I'm not aiming for much heat in the garage (except for the storage area which I might add extra insulation to), I could settle for Leca, which I've understood has a poorer insulation value compared to aerated concrete...?

But on the other hand, I've understood that aerated concrete is easier to work with (especially for a beginner), easier to shape, and easier to plaster...?

Anyone have arguments for and against the different materials??

I have asked myself the same question and concluded that Lecablocken weigh in their favor. I have considered moisture, insulation capacity, render carrying capability, how easy it is to build with, and not least the risk of cracks in the finished render.
Good luck with the construction!
Erwe
