What costs can you expect for all the windows in a house?

A quick calculation gives me about 17 normal windows and three patio doors.

I've budgeted 60,000:- for windows and 6,000:- for patio doors. Do you think this will be enough?

I don't want any extreme super duper windows, but I don't want to buy junk either, just reasonably insulating windows. The patio doors should preferably be as burglar-proof as possible (at least two of them), but maybe you buy extra things to solve that?

Does anyone also have tips for a good window supplier?

Our windows (Elit) cost on average around 3000:- each and I believe the patio doors cost just over 5000:- each.

6000:- for three patio doors??? 6000:- each sounds reasonable, if even that is enough. I'm looking at patio doors myself (in fact, a fully glazed French door) and it costs about 15,000:-

Regarding suppliers, there is a plethora. Elitfönster is a major one, and they have fairly reasonable prices and a large range. I am looking at Trarydfönster because they have a patio door that I've taken a liking to. Go to [ftp]www.lantbruksnet.se[/ftp] and search for window suppliers.

Jesca_j: You were quicker there ;)

The following quotes (note, 3 different suppliers) we received for our windows/patio door.

Elit. 86k
Lenhovda. 67k
Traryd: 56k

You should probably add 10,000:- for the doors. You can manage the windows for 60,000:- if they aren't too large. I have personally bought from both Elit and Lenhovdafönster and been satisfied, so I can recommend them!

Hello.

Buy aluminum, never need to paint, just wax.
Got a quote for 28 windows and 3 patio doors.

Tanum windows 107,000 SEK.
Traryd 105,000 SEK.
H windows in Lysekil. 113,000 SEK.

Naturally, we took the most expensive one; all the carpenters we've talked to say that the H window is the best. Check the quality and don't just focus on the price. Call around and ask which ones the local builders recommend. Take these, the old carpenters are usually right.

Best regards, PUTTE

Got a quote for 32 windows (6 of which are gable windows, slanted) and 3 patio doors complete with Assa locks for 100,000 SEK at Orama windows, which is an aluminum/plastic window that seems really good to me. Any experiences?

Also check with ERA windows, seem good and cheap U=1.2

Right now you should call Faringe Såg in Sollentuna. For those of you buying as many windows as are being talked about here, there's a 33% discount on the list price. That's usually pretty hard to beat.

Vinsta. Behind the shady car repair shops at the end of the road. And everything you buy there has a thick gray layer of dust on it for some reason.
Oops, it was supposed to be about windows...
The windows are delivered directly from the factory to your home, so you'll probably avoid the dust then.....

Faringe are skilled, but soon more will be selling windows with a 25% discount when a window supplier starts their campaign in a week.
Additionally, you might not have to pay everything at once like you have to with Faringe.
