Looking for ideas and tips on how to attach the stringer to the joists.
The staircase is homemade.
Also thinking of gluing the treads, which are made of solid 40mm oak.
Grateful for answers
Best regards, Daniel

Nice stairs!
I'm in the process of building something similar.
I plan to use Essve construction screws both straight in where the second-to-last step is, as well as at an angle from above "under" the top step.
Both screws need to be countersunk properly, of course!

You don't have any kids, right? ;)

Yes, I was thinking about the railing, it will be installed as soon as I get the pipes. I've been waiting for these for several weeks😟

Was a bit worried that I might need to attach extra wood between the stringers and then fasten onto it. But if it works with just screws, then that's definitely the most elegant solution. Do you need to fasten the stringer to the floor at the bottom? I'll also attach a few treads to the wall to make it less flexible outward. Good luck with the stairs. I got a quote for a similar staircase but with painted pine treads for just over 40,000 SEK. That felt a bit steep, so I decided to try building one myself instead😀

Well, it needs to be attached at the bottom as well, I think.
Two screws per vangstycke, I would guess.
What do you have under the parquet?
If it's concrete, then a few good plugs should be enough.
