Hello!
These holes are located above the interior doors, but now that we're replacing the doors, they are no longer needed. What's the easiest way to cover them up?

  • A close-up of a round hole in a wall above an interior door, showing the wooden structure inside, with a room visible through the hole.
If you can get your fingers/hand behind the wall in the hole, insert a piece of board as long and wide as possible. It is screwed/fastened from the outside, so that it ends up at the center of the hole, it can also be two boards, one on each side of the hole. Then a plasterboard is cut round and screwed into the boards. And putty.

  • A round hole in a wall, showing a view to the other side with visible window and ceiling lamp wiring.
  • Circular hole in a wall with red rectangles highlighting parts of the opening, showing interior structural details inside the wall.

And spackle
Thanks! I'll try that.
