go crazy how can you know with the help of the string if it's straight?

Try to place the string outside the rule. The width of a folding rule usually works well, so you can use it to test at different points along the length of the rule.

Straight in relation to what?
Parallel to the wall, 90 degrees against the other string rule?

I still don't understand, surely if the rule is bent in the middle, you can tell if there's more than a folding rule's length between them.. I mean straight from the wall out to the rule.. the rule will always be straight at the ends when you place a folding rule between.. it's if it's bent in the middle that you see. I want a straight line from the wall out to the rule.. I'm going to put up a fence... so it isn't crooked from the wall.. the only way is a laser level, right?

Look up the Pythagorean theorem or whatever it's called. Then you can measure it out.

Oh, you meant perpendicular from the wall and perpendicular from fence to fence...
One side 60cm, the other 80cm, the hypotenuse, i.e., the long side of a right-angled triangle, then becomes 100cm.

Otherwise, you can take longer measurements and calculate. a^2 = b^2 + c^2 or, hypotenuse = square root(b^2 + c^2)

Ok, now I'm with you. Pythagorean theorem gives you a right angle. A classic measure is the legs 3m and 4m. Then the hypotenuse becomes 5m. 🎓
Hope your terrace has those measurements, otherwise use JOW's formula😃

Oops, a few spelling errors from me :P

Carpenters usually measure the sides as 1.2m and 1.6m.
Then the diagonal should be 2m.

Yes, you have to adjust the measurements according to the size of what you're building :)

I don't understand what the problem is that they want to solve :)

this is advanced honestly don't get anything.... how it can be so difficult when it's about angles
I mean I want it to be perfectly straight from the wall out to the stud straight out where I will have a fence.
because I don't think it's straight when you look at the line I've marked out...

I think that the line towards the wall should be moved a bit to the left to make it perfectly straight... but I can't figure out how to measure to achieve that... in picture 2, that is.

Measure 3 m out on the string and 4 m on the wall. Adjust the end of the string sideways until it is 5 m between those points.
