Does anyone have any experience with Ctrap? A kind of mat that is supposed to prevent emissions from seeping out from, for example, wood preservatives.

There isn't much other than seller info and company info about it online.

Wonder the same thing, according to their own info it's a pure miracle which makes me a bit suspicious.

In two weeks I might get an answer. Going to try to pull up a part with a firma.

Hello. Interested to know if the ctrap sheet helped with emissions? Did you place it on a cleaned/decontaminated slab or did you place it on a floor and then lay new flooring?

I'm not really sure. Actually. I thought it helped significantly when it was installed. However, I should mention that I covered walls because my emissions come from the sill that the intermediate floor rests on. But now after raising walls and painting, there is still odor coming from holes in the wall, such as light switches. The odor is, as mentioned, reduced. But either the c-trap lets odors through, or the company that installed it did a poor job. It should also be mentioned that the company said they stopped selling c-trap to customers for self-installation, because many customers do a poor job and then blame the mat itself. All in all, I wish I had gone with the approach of trying to ventilate away odors with some sort of forced ventilation solution inside the walls.

Do you have slab on grade?
Did you lay the carpet directly on the concrete or on the existing floor and then new flooring?

Just saw that you wrote wall, sorry.
What walls do you have?

Plasterboard. Double in some cases. If you mean interior walls.

Hi, I'm considering possibly using cTrap. How has it worked for those of you who have used their mat? Have the odors disappeared or are they still there?

Thanks in advance.

We are also considering using Ctrap, but have concerns about how well it will work. Gratefully accepting experiences.
