Hello, Looking for a structural engineer in southern Skåne for checking load-bearing capacity and drawing for reinforcement if necessary.

Do you have any tips on good structural engineers in the area?

Tips are heartily welcome as it is not very easy to find someone who takes on small jobs.

There are many knowledgeable people here. By attaching drawings, you can at least get an answer regarding whether it is load-bearing here on the forum.

Ok, it doesn't look 100% like the drawing. The chimney is a bit further to the left in reality for some reason, but I have tried to "redraw" it in black. Red is what we will demolish.

Ground floor:
Floor plan sketch showing a chimney in black, positioned left of the original. Red areas indicate parts to be demolished.
Section drawing:
Cross-section sketch of a house with altered chimney placement, highlighted sections for demolition, and trees in the background. Black and red markings denote changes.
Basement:
Basement floor plan with labeled rooms such as "pannrum," "tvätt," and "disponering." Chimney drawn in black; some areas marked red for demolition.
Basement construction drawing:
Floor plan drawing showing sections for a construction project with notes in Swedish and hand-drawn alterations in black and red ink.

Thanks for the tip. Uploaded the drawings I got from the municipality.

Most likely, only the basement wall is load-bearing. The roof trusses are self-supporting, so the wall should not take any load. @justusandersson can probably give a better answer.

The sectional drawing shows no wall there, so it should not be load-bearing, but it's safest for Justus to confirm :-)

Hi! Did you find a structural engineer? We are in the same situation 😊

Hi, I got the tip to contact Villcon and it worked well. It was admittedly all digital, but they had liability insurance, and I received all the documents with the calculations showing that the wall was not load-bearing.

Okay, thanks! I'll check that!
