Hello, I am in the process of building a kitchen, toilet, and shower room against an exterior wall with a cast staircase on the outside. On the inside, I'm planning to frame out to accommodate water and electricity.
Water splashes a bit on the stairs and doesn't always drain away from the house wall, sometimes pooling against the wall. So, there is water pressure there.
The question is how I solve this with ventilation and waterproofing. Should I lay some heating coils at the bottom and ventilate in the kitchen and bathroom by drilling holes through the gypsum and plywood into the framing at the top and bottom so that the air can circulate? (it can't be done in the shower) Or am I doing this to avoid problems?
Grateful for any tips!
