Hello all home builders!
I don't have a plot yet, but I'm in the early stages of exploring possibilities for a future house build. While I'm looking around and dreaming, I would love to take the opportunity to become well-versed in construction techniques, energy values, moisture resistance, ventilation, etc.
So now I'm wondering if anyone can recommend one or more good books on the subjects of construction techniques, building physics, architecture, energy-efficient constructions, alternative building methods, etc.
I'm interested in just about everything! No topic is too narrow or broad. I'm just as happy to read a specialized technical book on ventilation or plumbing as I am a beautiful picture book on architecture! The main thing is that it's a good, rewarding book.
