I have found out that factory-primed boards are only a simple protection so you don't have to brush away as many old wood fibers (splint tracing) before priming and painting. Therefore, factory-primed boards should be considered unpainted.
So they should be primed with oil, primed paint, etc., before the final painting. So I think you might as well buy unprimed ones. =). Wait until the temperature is above freezing and start oiling after that. Humidity is at its lowest in winter. Rainy summers are much worse for the boards.
