Hi,
Each year vägförening takes money for snow cleaning from the road and during the snow cleaning process, complete snow is in front of my house. Last year i talked to förening, person came to my home and then just told me they will take care of it. but nothing happened. So what can i do now as to take out my cars, i need to clean my front but extra road snow also.

As far as I know that’s your responsibility as a homeowner. I think that you might be responsible for any injury that occur from people slipping and falling in the snow in the vicinity of your property.
It seems super common for it to be that way. I have it myself and there's multiple threads about this issue. If you have a vägförening that is doing the plowing I think you just maybe might have it a little bit easier than when it's the municipality doing the plowing. Check with other members in the vägförening if they agree with you and take it up on the board. The plowing will probably be a little bit more expensive, but it might be worth it.

You pay them (technically yourself as a member of the vägförening) to have the road cleared. I think there are three types of public roads in Sweden - state owned, municipality owned and those owned by a vägförening.F Farooq skrev:
They clean the road, not the drivways to each house. Take a look at your neighbours to see hos they manage the snow. The fees you are responisble to pay to a vägförening has a high priority with the Kronofogden so my recommendation is that you pay the fee.F Farooq skrev:
my only point was that i am responsible for driveway but company is not responsible to leave snow blocks Infront of my driveway and then i need to partially do their jobb. men i alla fall tack så mycket alla, det ser ut att jag kommer att försätta på samma nivå. kommer att kontakta med förening imorgon också.

Well if we assume that this is a registered "samfällighetsförening", then they have a leagal right to charge you. Any debt to a samfällighet has the highest priority of all. If you don't pay kronofogden will confiscate the money from you within weeks. And you will get a bad credit record, blocking you from any sort of credit.F Farooq skrev:

Det går säkert att köpa snöröjningstjänst som garanterar att inte lämna en snöflinga på någons infart, men räkna med att avgiften blir väldigt mycket högre.F Farooq skrev:my only point was that i am responsible for driveway but company is not responsible to leave snow blocks Infront of my driveway and then i need to partially do their jobb. men i alla fall tack så mycket alla, det ser ut att jag kommer att försätta på samma nivå. kommer att kontakta med förening imorgon också.
Vägföreningen need to hire the service from another company!!!F Farooq skrev:Hi,

The one you use is the cheapest, most likely. They use a traktor with a fixed dozer blade.
A kommun we previously lived in did contract the service from a company that used traktors with hydraulic controlled dozer blades. Prior to passing each driveway they could angle the dozer blade outwards to the street, leaving no or just a tiny snow string outside each driveway.
As someone else here wrote. Welcome to Sweden!
Sorry but they don't usually know to plow snow here. As of my experience the ones who do the snow removal in the neigborhoods and in the towns are not trained at all. They just drive on. They are too often complete idiots, sorry but true.
On the other hand the snow removal on larger roads are usually really professionally done! By trained and licenced people.
My suggestion is to bring it up on the next meeting. But be prepared! Swedes in the board of föreningen are often people who already know everything the best. Difficult to discuss with.
A other thing: Too many Swedes usually don't like to pay for services. They rather do it themselves to save some SEK. I mean they buy the most expensive and largest houses they can afford, and also they like to own too expensive and newer cars just for commuting to work etc. This leaves them with
little room left for unforeseen expenses.
They can drive 500 km one way to Sälen for skiing, renting a cabin for 12000 sek or more, expensive ski passes, parking, after work, restaurants, wine beer every evening (is expensive here). And then they bring their own fu_king bedsheets and towles to save some 100s sek! They rather put hours in cleaning the cabin than paying e.g. 750 sek for someone to do it. They don't like to pay for services.
Good luck!

Wish they did that here. Last night they made a 1 meter tall and 2 meter wide Wall here... nearly broke my back.. 5 meters long also.. and The guy driving the "plog" just watched and laughed at meF Farooq skrev:Hi,

When I was young, this was a source of income for many teenagers. We waited for the snow plow and then we knocked on the doors and asked if the homeowners wanted us to remove the snow for 10-20 kronor.
So it is not a new phenomenon. But the teenagers of today prefer to make money as influencers.
