When I threw out the Christmas tree, I missed that two of the "stops" on the screws in the stand apparently got stuck in the tree trunk. I plan to fix this before I pack away the stand, but I have no idea what the parts are called or where I can get new ones. Does anyone here know?

Don't think you can find it, but try threading on a larger nut, it should work.
To prevent it from unthreading, you can hit the end of the screw.
