Hello,
I am going to tile a floor in a regular room.
Could I use cement instead of adhesive?
Perhaps a bit more difficult to work with but much cheaper.
Regards, Magnus

You're fooling yourself, if you are going to use cement mortar (not pure cement) you will need significantly more as you have to lay it thicker. Then what are we talking about in terms of money 3-400:-?

Penny wise, pound foolish, I say, as it becomes harder to achieve the result. It can't possibly be about significant amounts of money.

Then the fix has a completely different grip capability

In my old basement, the tiles are attached with mortar. The "fix" is as thick as the tiles, not very pretty...

Here it looks like:
Wall edge cut for a new door opening, showing exposed interior and tiled surface.
Trimmed at the edge of course. For a new doorway.

S
doesn't have to be that way.
maybe a lot of fixing because the wall is crooked

It's not fix but bruk, so it becomes that thick.

Made about 70 years ago...
