Recently bought a house where the previous owner insulated the garage and somehow raised or changed the roof. However, it feels like it wasn't fully completed, and I need some advice on what should be done (see pictures). I'm worried about what might happen if there is a winter with a lot of snow that risks piling up there.

From what I understand, it's been like this for a while and nothing has happened (except that the ridge beam seems to be water-damaged?).

Grateful for any advice.

Close-up of a building's roof corner, showing a wooden beam with visible cracks, set in red stucco, possibly indicating water damage concerns. Close-up of a garage's unfinished roof with visible beams and insulation, highlighting potential water damage on the ridge beam. Close-up view of a garage ceiling, showing wooden panels and a textured wall, possibly with signs of water damage. Isn't it just a matter of tidying it up a bit and putting a cover board there?
