Hello,
I am in the process of drawing building permit documents for a 2-storey house, and we have decided that we want an internal width of 8.2 meters with spans of 3.5 and 4.5 meters on the intermediate floor.
My question is how long a span can be if designed as follows:
c24 or c30 45x220 with cc30, with screwed and glued 22mm chipboard. And with bridging.

Or do you have any other ideas for designing "cheap" constructions?

Best regards, Matz

45*220 C24 cc450 will be fine if you either have full lengths or lap joint properly.
I usually use 5.4m lengths and overlap and nail together properly.
Since you have different lengths, you can take 4.5+5.4 length to get 2m overlap.

Without having calculated it, I would think you'd end up with about 20 90 mm nails in the joint.
