Hello!

I have an old barn that I am in the process of fixing up. It is divided into two parts. One is a log section with a proper foundation in the form of some kind of concrete blocks. And then there's this section that I plan to fix up now, where the sill rests on large stones, and between the stones, it is open to the outside.
What should I fill the gap with? Find stones that I place there and then mortar together?
Or would something like concrete blocks work?

This is what it looks like (from above)

Murad natural stone will certainly be the most beautiful, but if appearance is not a parameter, then casting would probably be the easiest? Building with lecablock also works of course, but if there is a risk of water from the outside, you need to plaster and then it might be preferable to cast.

For what reason do you want to fill the gaps?

If you have a wooden joist floor, it might be better to leave it open underneath instead of trapping air that could cause moisture problems.
If you don't have a joist floor and the ground is the floor so to speak, I'm more on board with your thinking. However, I have no opinion on the appropriate method.

Exactly, there is no floor in there now, and I was thinking of building a floor. But first, fix the foundation..
If I am going to cast, what is the most efficient way to go about it?
