I need to replace the LED spotlights in the ceiling and the current holes are too large in diameter. I have no possibility (or desire) to replace the ceiling, so is there a convenient way to reduce the holes so the new spotlights fit?

It might be difficult to make it look nice, maybe some kind of cover plate that you can then drill new holes in. I would have tried to find new spotlights in the right size.

Me too, but I need to get spotlights that don't build downward, like xerolight slim line which only builds 1mm, but I need an LED for holes at 60 mm and I've tried xerolight, which should have holes at 57 mm, but these are loose even if you tighten the springs.

I have done it for a few pieces (a long time ago but still remember) and used dosage caps that I drilled out with a hole saw. You can then glue them with, for example, some construction adhesive, so you avoid screws. You can paint them in a different shade/color if you wish.

Malmbergs md-99 should have holes that are 60 mm, but it might build too much downward?

Those are the ones I have at the moment, but it got so tight against the kitchen cabinet door, so I need something like the aforementioned xerolight.

Buy a pipe like this and saw off stumps that you glue into the old holes. 60->57

That's a smart idea!
