Do you think it is safe to cut the part of the rafters that "protrudes"?

A picture from reality. I am thinking of cutting just inside the panel and from there it is 5 cm to the wall which consists of 10 cm standing planks.

Yes, I cut off the eaves. I'm not sure if it was necessary, but just to be safe, I reinforced the rafters with plywood.

After that, I had a smooth facade to work with.
