Putting up roller blinds in a plaster ceiling??
Hello,
We have slanted ceilings and need to install a 140cm wide roller blind there. We cannot hit the studs due to the position we desire. Will 13mm standard drywall hold for this? Expansion screw or something else?
Thanks!
/K

If I were to install a roller blind, I would want to be sure. Not just think. The plaster might hold, but not forever. It depends on how, who, and when you pull the roller blind up and down. If they are "decorative curtains," it might work. I would never do that in a child's room.kallun said:
You don't need to use a pressure-treated deck board. You can use a white-painted 42x22 (or the closest dimension) cut exactly the same length as the roller blind. No one will see it.
Yes, but a roller blind that is often pulled down and up creates movement, so I wonder if there is a risk that over time it might not hold up well. An unchanged load would, as mentioned, not be a problem...raveper said:
