You probably need to describe the situation a little more accurately for it to be understandable. Nockbalk is the same thing as a ridge beam. Do you mean rafters in the direction of the roof slope that rest on the ridge beam? In that case, roof pitch and snow zone are important pieces of information.

Have used the dimensioning program which refers to it as ridge beam, so I used the same term. But yes, I mean rafters. Roof pitch is 27 degrees and snow zone is 2.5.J justusandersson said:
I can upload the dimensioning.
Otherwise, maybe one can screw-glue two pieces of 220 x 45 together to get sufficient bearing capacity as a 245 x 45? But it would be better with a single 220 x 45 at cc 60 for the insulation.

Transverse roof beams is stated, which is a bit clearer. However, it is still an incorrect term. A beam is always longitudinal. Remarkable that Svenskt Trä is so bad at Swedish! Without having reviewed the calculations, I can say that it should be possible to replace 45x245 c/c 1200 with 45x220 c/c 600.
