Seeking advice/tips for the upcoming renovation.
The plan is to take it one step at a time, room by room.
Besides possibly adding new/more electrical and network outlets. Is it about removing the board (if it is beyond saving due to smell and unevenness) then going with plastic and 13mm plasterboard? Or should one take the opportunity to inspect any heat loss and thermal bridges near the windows? Insulation should perhaps wait because the floor space is needed, and additional insulation should be done externally.
House from the '70s, mexitegel/wood facade, and geothermal heating ~14kwh/year
One option is to just put up renovation plasterboard. Otherwise, your plan sounds fine, just be careful where internal walls meet external walls so you get a tight joint between the remaining old vapor barrier and your new vapor plastic.
Also consider putting up OSB+plasterboard or plywood+plasterboard instead of just plasterboard. Attaching anything to the wall becomes so much easier then .
Some time ago I found a good comparison between different disc materials, but apparently impossible to find now. Does anyone know?
That is, what is the difference between building board and tretex? Both are wood fiber boards, right?
The Tretex factory seemed to have closed down at the turn of the year 1970/1971 https://sv.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Treetex
With that said, it seems that we have board and not tretex? Or how can you tell the difference?
