I am working on renovating our upper floor. The house is a 1.5-story type built in 1966, and I am interested in moving the support posts of the roof trusses and placing them further out towards the eaves to get some better space in the bedrooms.
I realize that it's not just a matter of taking a saw to these even though several other houses in our area have made this modification. My question is whether one can get help with this calculation and where to turn for that. I live in west Gothenburg and have googled it a bit, but it seems that many companies do not cater to private individuals. Do you have any ideas on where I can turn?
