Reasonable tolerance requirements for wall length in new construction
Before painting, I measured the walls in the garage of our newly built house today. It turned out that one wall was 702 cm while the opposite wall only measured 697 cm. That is a difference of 5 cm on a 7-meter long wall! OK, it's not super serious. But what precision should one be able to expect when it is newly built in 2020?

What does the garage foundation look like then? Because the walls probably follow that.J jrdisman said:
Who set out the slab and checked the diagonals?
It's a turnkey contract so our contractor should be seen as responsible.KnockOnWood said:
The garage is part of the house, so I'm starting to suspect there might be similar deviations in other parts of the house as well.

For comparison's sake, I measured the wall lengths of our garage, which is about 9 x 4.5 m.
The north wall was 917 cm and the south wall 917 cm, including paneling and corner boards.
So, completely perfect. The garage was built by a neighbor and myself
The neighbor, a skilled guy, made the foundation.
