Anyone have tips on where in the Stockholm area one can get quality wood, pine b-sort? I need wood for window renovation. Pondus snickeri on Kungsholmen came up when I Googled, but otherwise it seems sparse? but there should be more places....?

I have received good pine through Fredricson's wood. If it's not large quantities, it's probably okay that they aren't particularly cheap for us without discounts. Either you order online from Calexico and pick it up at Fredricson's, or if you don't find what you want, you can go directly to Fredricson's and talk to them. Surprisingly nice and patient even with small customers who want to touch and examine the boards.

smasagarna.se or fetvedensvanner.com if you're looking for really resinous wood

I have seen the tip about the small saws several times and tried to go that route. Whether it's just the website that's completely dead or if the entire association has gone dormant I don't know, but unfortunately, there isn't much to gain there. It's a pity because this is exactly what would be good for us "small carpenters."
