Hello!

I am planning to install a wainscoting using 6mm panel board from Moelven. The walls where it will be installed have both drywall and OSB.

According to instructions, installation can/should be done as follows:

Installation on wood-based walls
Nails: Electrically galvanized nails 1.7 x 35 mm with flat nail head
Screws: Construction screws 4.2 x 35 mm
Staples: Staples with a straight, flat back
(back width 10.5–11.5 mm.
At least 25 mm long legs)

I am wondering if it would be possible to use brads instead?

A dyckert risks sinking into the material during movements as it has such a small nail head.
The thickness you are going to nail is only 2-3mm so it's not a good idea.

I have mounted such panels with drywall screws with good results.

Thanks for the response, I'm leaning towards securing it with screws. It will be in a room that will probably be renovated in the future, which is why I don't want to use glue.
