Hi,

I have a staircase where I would like something between the treads but don't want to enclose it with risers. Can anyone help me with how to get the part pointed to in the picture? Suggestions on how to build it yourself, what tools you might need for example?
Thanks in advance!

That staircase is not child-safe, there cannot be more than 10 cm between the steps Open wooden staircase, viewed from below, with wide gaps between steps and floral wallpaper on surrounding walls.

This is what my staircase looks like, it's easy to put a strip under the steps so there will be 10 cm between.

Thanks for the information, even though it wasn't related to my question. I am aware of the requirement, the staircase in the picture is not my staircase but an image from the internet. In my staircase, there is 8 cm between the steps but it's open, and I want the steel rod setup between the treads instead of a regular riser. Do you know where I can get it?
