Hi, I don't know if this is the right part of the forum but I'm trying anyway. I've bought new wardrobe doors and they didn't come with hinges, so when I tried to move them from the plain white doors, the plugs in the doors where the hinges are screwed won't come out completely. So it's the plugs on the screws on the part of the hinges on the door that I'm trying to get and I'm wondering if anyone knows if there are loose ones available, or do I have to use regular plugs. However, I think the plugs made for the holes fit better because they are "threaded" to hold better when the screw pushes the plug out. I hope someone understood what I meant and knows if it's possible to get just the plugs...

This is how manufacturers deceive customers, contact hardware specialist Lundell Zetterberg or similar...

This is how the plug should look

No kitchen renovator or similar who has any idea if there are loose plugs?

What does it say on the hinge? Brand, that is, IKEA uses the same as Ballingslöv, Kvik, etc. They sell theirs for one krona each...

You can get these at building supply stores that sell kitchens and even hinges. I know that Marbodal has bags with screws + plugs for replacements when changing doors.

TS might have found the solution after 7 years......:)

I'm sneaking into the thread. Is there any easy way to extract plugs like this if you want to move them?

It is split by the screw and has expanded in the board. If it has been in place for a while, it goes into the chip and stays in that position when the screw is removed. It's difficult to bend the hinge for it to close. If you try to pull or force it out, some of the particle board comes with it, making the hole larger. Try gently, but be aware that the chip can break.

I have the same challenge now. Has anyone solved this after all these years? There must be suitable plugs to buy??

I just ordered on Amazon, there's plenty to choose from.
