Hello!

A company is replacing windows at our house. During the removal of the old windows, quite deep notches (approx. 2.5cm) were made in the studs that the new window frame is to sit in. Is this a problem?

It is not a problem for the windows themselves, but they have most likely cut off about half of the rule that supports the rafters.

That wasn't good, but if you ask them (demand) to knock in and glue a piece that fits tightly in the groove, there shouldn't be any danger.
