As usual, the money in our initial optimistic budget was not enough, so now it's time to talk to the bank about raising the ceiling on the credit line.

Estimating costs is not easy, especially when you haven't decided how much work you will do yourself, but now I wonder if I could get some tips on approximate costs for some of the items.

Up to the completed house shell, we have control; it's everything after that which is a bit unclear.

We have a pretty good handle on the kitchen and bathroom ourselves, and the same goes for geothermal heating, materials for interior walls are included in the house delivery, underfloor heating and flooring are quite easy to calculate square meter prices for, paint and wallpaper we plan to handle gradually, but what I wonder about is approximately how much you should budget for materials for plumbing and electricity.

We hadn't planned to buy all the materials from Fredells ;) but have set up accounts at Malmbergs and Ahlsells and hope that it will be possible to buy materials a bit cheaper that way.

I'm only wondering about material costs and not labor costs since those can vary so much depending on what you do yourself. We do not intend to buy luxury switches but rather normal standard white ugly ones.

If there is any other major item I have missed, someone is welcome to enlighten me.

Thanks in advance!

The "Kåken" will be over 200 sqm!

How do you manage to set up an account on ahlsells?
You probably have to be a business owner!

The electricity will be cheap at Malmbergs, around 15-20'. Then feel free to compare the plumbing items with Rinkabyrör, they are often recommended.
