Hello!

I am going to cut a hole (50x50cm, marked in blue on the picture) in an interior wall to excavate and make a passage for a chimney.

The roof ridge runs in the direction of the wall, marked with a red arrow on the picture.

I am now wondering if the wall I am going through could be load-bearing.

The house was built in 1958. 1.5 stories. There are no original drawings.

Thanks in advance!

1.5-story house and the wall under the ridge is very often load-bearing.
