Want to lower the ceiling in the hall. Since there is an electrical cabinet quite high up, I can lower the ceiling a maximum of 85mm from the existing ceiling.

This means that I have to attach the studs that are placed on the wall all the way up to the ceiling for the plasterboard to fit.

Is this possible considering the cross beams? Or can these be attached directly to the ceiling, or must there be a certain distance from the ceiling down to the studs/beams?
