Thinking of removing an interior wall that is a masonry interior wall but the previous owner has studded and plastered. There are cross beams between the floors that probably rest on the wall running through the entire house in the middle.
This wall doesn't even go up to the ceiling or have a beam on top. So what do you think?
What you see at the bottom of the hole is the old ceiling which will also be removed in the room we are opening up to.
If the wall doesn't reach any beam, it can't be load-bearing. With the substantially thick masonry exterior walls, I don't think the wall has any stabilizing function either.
