Is it possible to reinforce the ridge beam in some way?
Facing a major renovation of the house and would like to add insulation to the roof from the outside. This would result in an extra load on the roof and according to the dimensioning check on byggbeskrivningar.se, my ridge beam is already utilized to the max. So is it possible to reinforce it in some way? Because it's not possible to replace it without tearing down the whole roof, right?

Is the insulation so heavy?

I wonder if it really affects that much. Normally, it is the snow load that influences the dimensioning the most, which can involve several hundred kg/m2.
The insulation you describe should not add more than about 10kg/m2. In the context, almost negligible.

Yes, it sounds reasonable as you say. But the officer at the city planning office wants calculations and structural solutions for most things, so it must be reported in some way.G Gabbe1 said:

I share the hesitation regarding the importance of insulation, but if you want more nuanced comments, you need to present more facts about the ridge beam, dimensions, span, bearing, the connection of the roof beams, etc. Roof slope is an important parameter as well.

here is a very simple drawing with measurements. Both the center beam and side beams are double 45x195 nailed together. The lower sketch shows how the column supporting the center beam is placed between the outer walls. The rafters are attached with angle irons to the center beam, as well as rafter hangers to the side beams. The roof pitch is 22 degrees.

What is the span of the beams?
