Now I am going to renovate our recreation room in the slope section of the house (built '67). The concrete slab is uninsulated and the wall is hollow concrete block that is plastered.

In the room, all the walls are framed with 45x45 studs and drywall. The studs against the ground were a bit rotten and some plaster was loose. Had a moisture guy who measured values in the wall and said it wasn't particularly damp but 60 years have probably left their mark.

I thought of tearing down all the walls and building new ones and wonder what you suggest.

Suggestions:
Metal studs and tracks, 45x45. cc 600
Rock wool insulation
Plywood + drywall

The reason I want plywood is that I want to hang a 2m wide radiator that weighs quite a bit. Previously, the house was heated by electric radiators.

I also plan to drill holes at the top and install an air vent as well as have holes behind ventilated baseboards (along with the DriCore floor that will be installed). This way, I think the air against the wall can be ventilated.

Thoughts and experiences are welcome!
