Hi,

I need to install a door in one of the basement rooms and need to open up approximately 5-6cm at the top.
It's a 22cm thick concrete wall and I'm trying to figure out the easiest way to do this.
Is it safe to chisel carefully or should I try a concrete blade for a jigsaw perhaps?
It's up to the bottom edge of the board you see according to the picture😀
Doorway opening in a basement with visible wooden plank and exposed concrete at the top, adjacent room with wooden floor and covered items.

Spontaneously, it feels like that part is crucial.

Yeah, I suspect as much.
Then I'll make it easy for myself and cut the frame and door instead 😁

Doesn't the frame fit on this side of the concrete beam then? If the question was the easiest solution?
